For over 40 years the SRT has sought to help the church in Scotland and beyond to engage with ethical issues in science.
Over the years, the SRT project has been influential in many discussions on a huge variety of topics. We regularly produce reports to the General Assembly,
as well as publications in the national and scientific press.
In many ways, though, the SRT has remained a “hidden gem” of the Church of Scotland: many of the members of the church are unaware of the work the SRT does. In addition, many in society accept without question the conflict hypothesis - that science and faith have nothing to say to each other, and are implacably opposed to each other.
We want to help to renew a positive interface between science and faith and provide information on the work of the SRT to church members.
The SRT Project intends to produce their own Newsletter and this will appear in the Newsletters section of this website.
